characters in hotels

Does anyone know if characters visit the Disney hotels every morning and if so what are the queues generally like? We are staying in Newport Bay.

Thank you!

Hi Suz92,

Yes, Disney Characters are in each of the Disney Hotels during Breakfast hours. The characters you will see depend on the Hotel; at Newport Bay I have seen Mickey Mouse in the past.

Queues completely depend on what is happening i.e. if a transfer has just arrived, expect a long line! But usually, queues are much, much shorter than Meet 'n' Greets in the parks!

I would use this service as much as possible if you spot a character you would like to meet!

Hi Mercedes

Thank you for the information. That's great to hear that the queues are generally shorter than in the park as our daughter is coming 2 and I doubt she would want to queue for too long! Cheers

We stayed at Sequoia Lodge two weeks ago and the queue was no longer than 10 mins each time. We saw Mickey one day, goofy the next, then Pluto the next. Then it was Mickey again on our final morning. There was a professional photographer and a lovely backdrop, we got some great photos. I think the characters mess around more than they do in the park meet and greets. It was the same when we stayed at the disneyland hotel 2 years ago, Mickey was running around all over the place, stealing my daughters Cheshire cat plush,it was really funny.

oh thank you! We will definitely have an early breakfast and wait for characters in the hotel rather than meet and greets then. They sound like a lot of fun.

Hi we stayed in the Cheyenne last year and saw Mickey, goofy and Pluto while we were there. As there are very few people having breakfast the queues were short, about 6 people in the queue.
