Fête Nationale in Cassis

My husband and i will be in côte d'azur during the 14 of July. We have been to Cassis once before, in April, and loved the town. We expect it will be quite a lot different in July than it was in April. We dont mind extra crowds, etc, but we aren't really party people. What is the vibe like on the 14? Wondering if we might to better to travel further along the coast to another small town like sanary sure mer, la cadiere d'zur, or bormes-les-mimosas?

Personally, I always enjoy the 14th in Cassis. Yes, there are more people but that is just part of it. No matter where you go, the 14th will bring an added influx of people. Cassis does the way Cassis does many things still keeping the small town charm.
