Parking in Cassis

Hi - we are going to stay in Cassis or the surrounding area and would like to know if there is free parking close to the beach of Cassis? We have a young child so not able to walk too far, thanks

When will you be there?

It is possible to find free parking in Cassis, but you'll have to walk at least a kilometer or more to get to the various beaches. The main beach near the tourist office and port has a small car-park and is pay and display.

Bestouan - one of the smaller beaches just to the west of the port also has a pay and display car-park.

Plage Corton near Villa Madie is like Bestouan.

Essentially those are the three that are the easiest to get to.

Plage d'Arene is down a very steep flight of stairs after a kilometer walk from the car-park.

For a beach that is easily accessible and sandy with gentle surf consider going a little further along the coast to Saint Cyr sur Mer. The car-park is right behind the beach.

Remember that if you're going in late June, July, and August you'll be competing for parking with thousands of French tourists. And finding free parking close to any beach is not generally possible.

No free parking close to the beach. When there in summer parking will be only one concern.
