Visiting a Reggio Emilia Preschool and school

Hi,

I am an early childhood educator from Tel Aviv.

I'm interested in coming to Reggio Emilia by myself, hear a bit about the approach and most important - visit at least one preschool or school

I've tried to find a clear answer here, but could get it.

So - how can i arrange it? Can someone mention a preschool or school that i can contact directly?

Thanks a lot,

Ori

I believe the better way is contact the Reggio Children center:

http://www.reggiochildren.it/

http://reggiochildrenfoundation.org/

They can give you assistance.

Hi,

I’ve just read your message about visiting a Reggio Emilia preschool. Did you have any luck getting to visit? I’m curious as I’d love to do the same, possibly July this year.

Looking forward to your reply😊

Also, just curiously, where else did you go in your holiday? I’m just planning at this stage. Any pointers helpful!

Cheers,

Hi Ori,

I just read your message about wanting to visit a Reggio Amilia preschool. Did you have any luck & get to visit?

I’m looking at doing the same, possibly in July this year.

Hope you did get to visit. I’d love to. Let me know if you did & how, if possible.

Thanks so much,

Sorry I'm not in the field, but why would a preschool or school organise a tour?

And where would they get the money and time to organise such a thing?

And perhaps you even expect it to be in English?

Again, I'm not in the field, but sounds a very odd request.

The educational model of some Reggio Emilia's schools is one of the most advanced and studied by several other schools and aducators around the World. Seems odd, but there are people who travel to Reggio only to study this learning method. Is not of course a normal tour, like one you can do in a museum.

I think there is a Reggio Emilia visitor centre at th ecahool but they do not offer tours unless you are part of the conference groups. So I’ve been told.
