Naples to Positano private transfer recommendations

The last couple of years the hotel has arranged this and was €130. I recall seeing recommendations here in previous years that were cheaper. Does anyone have any current firms they would recommend for July?

We have made the same trip 3 times in the last 4 years and always use Sorrento First Choice (see their Tripadvisor reviews here - https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attraction_Review-g187780-d2157581-Reviews-Sorrento_First_Choice_Car_Service-Amalfi_Amalfi_Coast_Campania.html)

Email them on info@sorrentofirstchoice.com

They are based in Amalfi but do airport transfers, tours etc - 2 years ago we got them to take us from Naples airport to Pompeii, wait for 3 hours and then take us on to Positano. I couldn't praise the driver highly enough.

Enjoy!

We have used both Sorrento Cars and Rainbow Limos - would recommend them both.

I suggest reviewing the tours and things to do section of the Positano page. This price you are being quoted is normal for this time of year. We used Private Day Tours on four different occasions in the last week and would use them again in a heartbeat. Of all the years traveling to Italy, I’ve never come across a more responsive tour/limo owner and his staff were all amazing.

We've used Silver Star Sorrento car service several times and were always very impressed with professionalism, friendly drivers, and nice cars.

Your previous cost is on par with what we have spent the past several visits.

We used transferelax (post 3, above) this past Saturday for four people from Praiano to Naples. We paid €130 for the trip, dropping one couple at the train station and the second at the airport. The driver was right on time, had a spotless Mercedes van that could have held six plus luggage (the one pictured on the webpage), he drove properly and got us there quickly and without incident. I would book him again in a heartbeat.

If considering choosing a service not often recommended on the forum, just be sure to check their website, see their tax ID number and if you have questions (especially if price is quite a bit less than other similar services) about their insurance (or, anything else), just ask.

Recently, there have been articles in the local Amalfi Coast media about (most of what I read took place in Positano recently) the authorities stopping certain vehicles, mostly vans (but later heard from someone, that cars too were involved) to check licenses because apparently, quite a few people are offering this services illegally - i.e., no license to do so, etc - just people taking advantage of the crush of tourists wanting these services.

But I think the price you paid is pretty much on par, give or take, for the service.

Yes. I agree. A lot of vans guided by people without licence, most of them see Chinese
