Sunday lunch

Can anyone recommend a nice place to eat for Sunday lunch near Rotherham? Specifically a nice roast/carvery with all the trimmings...

Pickburn arms just off A1 Doncaster. Usually 4 meats and loads of veg to choose from. The decor is nice and open but the furniture is traditional. I've been loads of times it lovely.

If you want somewhere closer there is the black lion at Firbeck just passed maltby. Again lovely carvery

As OP was back in October replies may be a little late but could try:

The Drawbridge, Rotherham, S61 1JN, (it was, and maybe still is, part of the crown carvery group)

Another thumbs up for the Firbeck Black Lion.

The Drawbridge is still part of the crown carvery chain and still offers carveries, however whilst it offers this at a decent price, the pub itself is not quite what it once was and is beginning to show signs of wear - it needs a bit of care.

Hi there, I don't know if you are still looking for a decent place to eat Sunday lunch, The Cavalier in Ravenfield started a Carvery back in August this year and is getting some rave reviews, the prices are reasonable, the place has a great atmosphere & the staff are really friendly
