Oslo & Bergen itinerary help

A friend of mine and I are travelling into Norway in early June. Itinerary is looking like this:

Day 1: Oslo (arriving from Copenhagen at about 9:00am)

Day 2: Oslo

Day 3: Oslo

Day 4: Norway in a Nutshell to Bergen

Day 5: Bergen

Day 6: Bergen

Day 7: Bergen

Day 8: Bergen

Day 9: Bergen Airport back to Australia

We are both male, mid-20's, into architecture, art, hiking, etc. We also like going out to pubs/bars etc, but not sure if that is as popular in Norway as it is in Australia due to cost.

Do you think we are spending too much time in Oslo and/or Bergen? Should we try fit something else in, perhaps go a little further North of Bergen?

We had planned to stay in AirBnB's due to cost and so we can cook. But we are a little concerned this may prevent us from meeting locals/other tourists.

Four full days in Bergen should be plenty unless you have plans other than hanging around downtown. Norwegian mostly eat at home, and drink out, even if alcohol is expensive. There will be plenty people in bars and cafes.

Thanks for your help/

So you think it it is better to keep this time frame and not try pack anything else in?

What kind of "everything else" had you planned to pack in ?

You will have a hard time avoiding locals and tourists in Bergen :) besides, it is festival time, extra lively and packed with events. I suggest you find accomodation as central as possible.

Would you not want to stay by one of the iconic fjords for at least a couple of days? Stunning scenery everywhere and hiking options at your doorstep. Perhaps join a kayaking tour for something different.

There are some good hiking options in Bergen, however it is some distance away from the iconic fjords.
