Hi, we would like to try the ribs when we visiti in Vienna. Any suggestions about Ribs of Vienna & Salm brau?
I would add Siebensternbrau to the recommendations for Ribs
I would also recommend Strandcafe. It is a bit out of the center but not too far from the Ubahn. You can sit outside on the veranda at the water's edge. It can get very busy so worth making reservations.
Speaking only as a tourist but coming from a place where pork ribs (Kansas City, USA) are taken seriously, we enjoy Salm Brau very much!
We visit almost every time we are in Vienna- the location alone is worth a stop for beer and the adjacent gardens/museum.
We ate there last night (and finished our leftovers-overs in the room tonight).
Their beers are very much to out liking and their Marzen is a favorite of out ours.
"Gamey" to some is "flavor" to others.
There might well be "better" ribs in Vienna but the combination of food, beer, value, service, surroundings and ambience is to our liking.
We love the outdoor seating when available.
I add to the recommendation for Strandcafe for their ribs and relaxed atmosphere. Easy to get here using ubahn and a pleasant walk along the Danube.
