Monte Carlo tours

My ship docks in Monte Carlo from 8 am to 11 PM on August 28. Can someone suggest a tour company that can provide a trip for 7 people?

Monaco is very small, you dont need any guide, just a map

to visit outside, use public bus (1 euro) or train, and save a lot of money

Hi N_F_R

Is there a public bus route that will give us a taste of the French Riviera coast roads ?

The number 100 bus takes the coastal route goes between Nice and Menton, taking in the towns of Villefranche, Beaulieu, Eze bord de mer, Monaco/Monte Carlo and Roquebrune cap martin. It costs 1 euro for a single journey.

Bob, as I already mentioned, Monaco is very small

nobody visit Monaco with a car

do you need a guide to do a tour by walk ?? it's not frequent

as I said, take a map and some brochures at the tourist office and do it on your own

you have to visit the Rocher (the rock) with the palace, oceanographqiue museum, cathedrale.... you go down to the port and finish with the casino squar

We have been in Monte Carlo several times by ship or tour. We are now OLD. Will be there for a day in early Nov. off a ship and thought it might be fun to take the 100 bus to Ville Franche for lunch. Is this doable for 85 year olds? How frequently does the bus go and from where in MC? Thanks for any suggestions.

Dear Diane

Only you can say if you will be able to manage the bus, but it dips low to the ground at stops, and should not be too crowded in November. It is quite frequent - 3 or 4 buses an hour even on Sundays and holidays - and takes 30 to 40 minutes from Monaco to Villefranche. You can pick up the bus at Ste Devote (close to the port) on the way out and get off at Stade Nautique (even closer) on your way back.

Have a great trip!

Dear Alex

Our bus fares went up over the summer and now cost more if you buy from the driver. You can get a single ticket for EUR1.50 if you buy your ticket at on of the machines, at major stops.
