paphos

I fancy going to pathos, where is the best place for over 60 but still fit and active, don't want to be where all the night clubs are, love a nice beach, long walks, old towns, but must have nice restaurant's which are run by locals, not English, need a nice hotel that does half board.

Any help would be appreciated. Regards Moff123

Curious as to why you would book half board and then want nice restaurants to go to - the more people that book half board and AI the fewer nice restaurants there are as the locals that you want to see running their restaurants can't afford to keep them open

So if you want to see local restaurants run by local people book a B&B rather than half board holiday and support the local economy !

As for Paphos it is a very large district area and then you have Paphos town with the coast and harbour. There is a lovely coastal path that has many really nice hotels along part of the 25 mile route. Paphos is not known for its sandy beaches as it is a mostly rocky coastline, however, there are some sandy beach areas.

What do you want from the hotel ? Five star all the way, mid range or cheaper and cheerful ?

If you want really sandy beaches then you should consider flying to Larnaca instead of Paphos and heading for Ayia Napa, Protaras or Pernera - however, if you do that you will miss out on the old town aspect and historical sites because they are all holiday resorts
