Two part days in Copenhagen as part of a cruise

Afternoon fellow travelers

We ( couple 70, can walk with plenty of pit stops) arrive in Copenhagen at 1400 on a Tuesday next May by cruise ship and leave at 1500 the next day.

We want to do our own thing rather than take the ships excursion.

Is the city easily accessed from the cruise terminal.?

We enjoy just wandering around being part of the atmosphere and also would be keen to see any must sees.

Grateful for your kind suggestions

We were also on a cruise when we visited Copenhagen and saw people walking from the terminal to city center but it was a bit of a walk, so we paid to take the shuttle bus with the cruise ship where they drop off and pick up at a location. We then visited the city on our own.

Thanks Faith. Can you remember how much the bus was.

Might be wise to save our little legs till we get to the centre.

Did you see the Little Mermaid thingmebob?

First, find out where your ship docks, as there are several. We took a taxi to our central hotel after our cruise and found it easy (lined up and got the next one, right after getting our luggage) and reasonably priced. The central part of town is very walkable. You can take a harbor cruise from Nyhavn that will take you by The Little Mermaid, if it’s too far to walk.

It’s North of San Diego and just South of Camp Pendleton, a large military base. Come visit sometime! And enjoy Copenhagen.

Thanks. In fact Inlooked up your profile and saw where it was in Cal. Weconce drove from LA to San Diego, so we drove straight thru it.
