Supermarket in Lekfada - LIDL or AB ?

Hello

What is the best supermarket in Lekfada?

LIDL or AB ? what you prefer ?

The selection of Greek products like olives and cheeses is similar ?

And what about prices?

Thank you.

Having spent the last week in Lefkas I believe the cheapest supermarket is Lidl although the selection of items is not as extensive as Lidl stores in mainland Europe. However for basic commodities eg water, milk, bread they are substantially cheaper than any of the other larger supermarkets around Lefkas town. It is also much easier to park around the Lidl store. Sadly and a reflection of our times you are much more likely to attract people having to beg for a living outside the store.

Lidl is cheapest, good if you want to stock up on basics for less money. The quality is ok and they do have some Greek products, but only a limited range.

AB is slightly more expensive on your general weekly shopping, but very good quality and still good value. For Greek products such as olives, local cheeses, wines, sweets, yogurts, pulses and many more, AB has a very big range of excellent products and there is really no comparison with Lidl. Also, AB is on the edge of town and has plenty of parking.
