Hi, my wife and I are very excited to be visiting Athens in mid October with both of our mothers (in their late 60's), and our 2 year old daughter. We are interested in hiring a private guide for a 3-4 hour morning tour of the Acropolis as well as the related sites of Ancient Greece. We've read many reviews online, but are having trouble finding a private tour that would specifically be family friendly (a car seat in the car for my daughter, and someone who is used to having young children on his/her tour). Also, we have heard that with the prevalence of strikes, a regular "taxi tour" could be cancelled, so we want to hire someone who would not be part of a government or large scale strike.
Any recommendations would be much appreciated. It's going to be a big challenge traveling with a 2 year old (and 2 senior citizens who are healthy but not very fast walkers), and we want someone who can drive us to the important sites and then walk us (slowly) through everything. Of course we know that you cannot tour the Acropolis from a car, and plan to climb up to the top, but we'd like to be driven between the various attractions and then get our of the car with our tour guide to make our visit as comfortable and easy as possible.
