Its a lovely hotel. We stayed there in March, the studio suite we had was excellent and modern, we booked a pool view studio suite.. When you get to the main road from the hotel turn left and there are lots of bars/restaurants on Estrada St Eulalia. Also you are only 5 mins walk to the strip, instead of turning left on main road, go straight across and walk down the road with Mini Preco supermarket on the corner and it will bring you to the strip. You are approx 30 mins walk to the Old Town or 5 mins in a taxi. It should still be lively on the dates you are going.

Stick to Old Town for nights out. Strip is for youngsters. Just got back this morning, beers 3 to 5 eur. Local 3 Corona 5.

Short and mixers 7eur average.

You will have a ball.

There's lads of bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the Albufeira Sol, which gives you another option than the Strip or Old Town.

Actually Milliemolliedee could easily have said 'loads of lads' and have been fairly accurate!

There are some places for older people up on the main road and along Estrada de Santa Eulalia. The strip can easily be avoided.

I may be on the other end of the spectrum .... going the last week of October and looking for a little fun but mostly r&r. will that be possible or will i be dodging "loads of lads or bars" ?
