Where to stay

Hello to all advisers here, Me and my wife planning a trip to Amsterdam for 4 nights starting from 13th october to 17th october2018.

We want to stay near central train station and canals in the city. We are looking for 1 double bed room for 2 adults in hotel or apartment. So can you please recommend us a good hotel to stay

Our budget is near about euro 150-200 per night

Thanks in advance

1. Re: Where to stay

Four very good suggestions in very good locations. All well reviewed all four star all plus tax all usd

Nh Amsterdam Center----$207 about 173 euros or so

Nh Museum Quarter----$208

Park Hotel-----$186 about 170 euros or so

Vondel Hotel----$186

The Park may be the highest reviewed I'd take that one. Great location.

Thanks for your kind reply Mr John as i will go for Park hotel. can you please suggest me a site to book this hotel or send me link for that, also i am looking that on booking.com and the price is coming up near 200 euros but you mentioned around 186 usd or your price is without tax?

Also i checked the nearest metro station is around 1.5 km (waterlooplein) is it ok if we want to travel to other sightseeing by train.

Thanks

At just over your budget you can get the 5* Amrath Grand across from the station for €217 pn https://www.amrathamsterdam.com/en/index.html

Die Port van Cleve Hotel might also be an option http://tinyurl.com/yd54bcxm €742 for 4 nights

https:/… is also about €200 pn for a superior double

https:/…hotels is under €190 pn

RHO hotel just off Dam Sq. is €717 total and that includes breakfast. Pretty good deal http://tinyurl.com/y8v4yelk

I could go on as there is plenty of choice on those dates. All of those are walking distance to the station but depending on where yo are going another station might be closer.

BTW the closest metro to the Park Hotel will be the Vijzelgracht when the new metro line opens in July. Moot point though as trams pass the hotel also.

Don't worry about getting around. Amsterdam has plenty of very good public transport.

I looked at the regular reservation system for Priceline.

10. Re: Where to stay

There is almost never a reason anyone needs to stay right by the train station .

If you are coming in by air-----397 bus from the air terminal------will take you to within a very short walk of the Park. No need for train and tram.

IMO the Park has a great location near to so many things you will want to see and the reviews are very good
