Coming in pre-cruise July 2018 for two nights. Prices so far:
Movenpick(with breakfast) =$593
Doubletree = $745
Want to stay central area?
I have stayed at the Hilton and Doubletree.
The latter wins for the location but it is more expensive. The Hilton is a bit out which means you rely on the tram.
I would be tempted by Movenpick with the breakfast deal. However if you have Hilton Gold or Diamond Status you can get full breakfast and lounge access at the Doubletree.
Why not the Movenpick? More central location than the Hilton. Close to where the cruises come and go. A massive breakfast hotel spread inc in the price.
For the money if it were me I'd take the Hilton as my second choice.
All three are well reviewed hotels.
i have stayed at the Movenpick and it was absolutely fine. Clean, comfortable and QUIET rooms with a nice sea view. Not far to walk to centraal and they had a shuttle bus when i stayed there free of charge.
I just looked at the first weekend in July two night stay.
The Krasnapolsky without breakfast is $1039 for two nights although refundable
The Doubletree looks to be well over $700 with no breakfast likely non refundable but I did not look
The Nh Amsterdam Center is $600+ again no breakfast likely non refundable
Breakfast has got to be 25-30 euros per person.Edited: 19 October 2017, 00:43
Both per night plus tax. Both highly reviewed 8+ four star hotels in canal belt east
The first is an opaque discount four star 8+ found at Priceline express deal
The second is the Hotel De Jounger (I need the double check the spelling) it's an 8.7 very high review score.
But i am not sure if you are asking for second opinions or not.Edited: 19 October 2017, 03:41
