We are staying in Florence for a few days at the end of July .

Wanting to do a tour of Tuscany one day that includes sightseeing, lunch at a winery but also really wanting to see sunflower fields that we can stop at.

Any recommendations

Thank you

1. Re: Sunflowers

Tricky for as always with nature can it be relied on to provide the flowers you want to see at the time you are there? Sunflowers usually appear in profusion in southern Tuscany from late June through to the middle / third week of July but it depends upon so many factors, including the location of the field and, of course, the weather during the spring. Things are a bit later this year so you could be in luck and see some nearing the end of their flowering period but I'm personally not sure where they grow close to Florence. Maybe near Lucca / Pisa - anyone?
