What is the best way to go from stresa to Milan?
Easy - takes an hour to an hour and a half depending on the type of train.
There are local buses that run either from or through Stresa, for instance the route from Macugnaga, through Stresa, to Milano. You didn't specify where in Milan you wished to go to.
the folliwng web site is for the VCOinbus site and its allied services, it is an alternative to the Trenitalia services and very cost effective.
There are posters on this forum, who are local experts, who may be able to throw more light on the convenience of these bus services.
I know that VCOinbus have a service directly from Malpensa through Stresa and beyond, for instance. That service takes about one hour.
Town Names: Stresa - arrival point Milano Centrale.
It will come up with a list of times.
HOW do I select English on the trenitalia site ?? I cannot find it !!!
Try this link:
or go to: www.trenitalia.com
then click on 'Invia' which is on the section that asks Da dove vuoi partire: Dove vuoi arrivare:
A new page opens - you will see at top of page ENGLISH - click here. It is ridiculous that there is no English button on their home page!
But there IS a button! Anyway, the URL for the English version is: www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html
No English button on my www.trenitalia.com home page. Maybe you have a 'special' one!
