Fiumcino airport into Rome

What is the quickest and most economical way to get into Rome (we are staying in the square where the Pantheon is). Taxi or train.

The hotel is offering a taxi for 55 euros.

I would anyway refuse the offer: a usual taxi may lead you to your hotel for 40 euros, fixed fare, I can't see any reason to pay 55.

The cheapest way is probably the bus Terravision to Termini (seemingly there is a new connection Fiumicino-Termini for 4 euros), but Termini is not so close, so you'd have to take a bus (for instance 40 or 64) to the Pantheon.
