I wish I could help you properly by giving you first hand advice...ask me anything about Capri !! LOL...back to the subject at hand..I found this https://www.visitnaples.eu/napoletanita/perc… It is in Italian, and the beach looks stunning! Oh and another one napolike.it/migliori-spiagge-napoli-e-provin… again its in Italian . Re-Ischia you can just get a ticket at the harbour,Molo Beverello. These two are booking site links so you can get an idea if timetables , prices etc https:/…naples_ischia_ferry.htm or www.naplesbayferry.com/en/schedule… Hope these links help & have a great hoilday

There is no need to book ferry tickets to Ischia in advance- just buy them on the day of travel. I’m sure there are beaches where you can swim in Naples, but Ischia is well worth the short journey and has several good beaches for swimming.

The closest one I can think of is west of the city on Via Posillipo: http://www.bagnoelena.it/lo-stabilimento/

It can be easily reached from downtown on the #140 bus.

You can swim for free at Mergellina in amongst the little fishing huts or if you're feeling brave you can join the locals and jump off the rock retaining wall at Castel dell Ovo. There is also a little patch of sand (free) at Rotonda Diaz just near the US Consulate where locals also swim.
