Me and my friend are flying into Milan (Bergamo) airport on the 7th August and flying back from it on the 26th. We are trying to plan a travelling route and are open to any suggestions. We uni students so we are travelling on a bit of a budget - trying airbnbs instead of hotels and would like to visit some more local areas rather than very touristy areas.

We would like to stay in or near Crema for about a week, and for the rest of the time would like to do shorter visits to places, including a lake.

Very open to any suggestions for a travel route or places that we shouldn't miss!!

Thank you :)

The best thing you can do at this stage is go to your library and get a FREE travel guide book on Tuscany and start listing what it is you want to do and see.

You can also learn a lot by looking at a map and then looking up places on google. Will you be travelling by train and bus or by car?

You have almost three weeks so if you do not try to go great distances you should have a great trip. Try not to stay anywhere for less than three nights. If you stay in Mestre (some will say this is a no no but it worked fine for us twice) then you can wander around Venice quite cheaply.
