I know this coastline well as I have a flat in Javea (100 km from VLC). The city of Valencia's beach is wide and long but more of an 'industrial' beach - ok for locals for after work and at weekends - but not really for a family holiday.
Oliva has the best unspoilt beaches but the town itself is not that nice. Gandia has a massive and impressive beach but in summer it is full of people from Madrid so is noisy and impossible to park. Denia is a good choice - lots of beaches, plenty of bars and restaurants - and more upmarket. Javea is really nice - again quite upmarket but small and pretty low key.
Any other info you require please dont hesitate to ask.
Thankyou for that information, may have a look at Denia VTB
If you need any more info on hotels/transport or whatever on Denia dont hesitate to ask..good luck
