A Day at the Beach

Would love input from those who have been. I want to just spend the day at the beach, morning to afternoon. I would definitely rent a beach chair and umbrella. A few questions -

Any place to seek out / avoid for chair & umbrella rentals? Tips / advice?

Can I leave my belongings on my chair and stroll the beach? Run to the toliet?

With American beaches I've been to, YES - you can just leave your stuff abandoned and no one will bother it. Obviously one does not leave valuables, but towels, books, etc - is just fine.

Can I leave my belongings (towel, book, etc) with my chair & umbrella unattended for an extended period of time, while I pop over to a nearby restaurant for lunch?

Are there food carts nearby for snacks?

Any suggestions / advice on how to have a great day at the beach is welcome.

At the beach you may find many older women. Before you go into the water, you can ask one of these women to look at your belongings. They will do this for you.
