Cabalgata de Los Reyes Magos, 5th Jan 2013

Here's the route of the Three Kings for the 5th January (avoid if you don't like smelly camels and vicious grandmothers):

Departs Town Hall at 5pm

Avda. Rafael Quintana

Calle Europa

Avda. Isobel Manoja

Avda. Los Manantiales

Plaza Costa del Sol

Avda. Palma de Mallorca

Avda Joan Miró

Calle Doctor Jiménez Encina

Calle García de la Serna

then back up Rafael Quintana Nuevo

The best place for a close up view is up in Calvario on Rafael Quintana or Calle Europa, where all the little bodegas have special extras for the kiddies as the Cabalgata passes, but as this area has very narrow streets if you don't like close crowds you're probably better off down on Isobel or Manantiales.

Enjoy!

Don't forget the hard hat and baseball MIT to catch the sweets, those kids throw hard.

Plaza Costa del Sol, at the top of Calle San Miguel, is probably the nearest to you - the route is circular through the town centre.

Agree with NSG, the best trick for catching sweets/candy is an upturned umbrella. All kids attending the Cabalgata in Madrid know it!
