S8 to Wuppertal - not going all the way at the moment?

Hello. The Rheinbahn app says you need to get off at Gerresheim, for example, and finish the journey by bus. Is that right?

If two of us want to do a day trip from Duesseldorf to Wuppertal and ride the Schwebebahn for a bit, do we need the TagesTicket fare zone B for two people? It includes the Schwebebahn, yes?

Thanks.

According to the VRR journey planer there are currently SEV (train substitution buses) from Düsseldorf Hbf to Wuppertal Hbf.

Yes, Wuppertal has a lot of construction going on. Only busses go from/to Wuppertal at the moment... but the Schwebebahn is running :)

If train or bus plays for the ticket price no role. VRR tariff applies, price level B.

Single trip ticket is EUR 5,80. A day ticket for 3 persons is EUR 21,30.

Buy from the ticket machines. Buying from the bus driver is possible, but it is preferred if you buy from the ticket machines as long you're not starting at a bus stop without ticket machine.
