When travelling in a motor home in France, does it matter if you press the top or bottom button at toll booths??
No it doesn't.
What does matter is the height of your Motorhome - over 3 metres high and you pay a higher Classe.
3 metres high, or less, and you pay Classe 2.
Depending how much higher you are you pay considerably more.
That is why many Motorhome owners do not use Toll roads.
Also watch you don't inadvertently stray into the Car lanes which have a 2 metre height barrier.
A Toll tag (such as ATMB) is a wise choice if you use the Toll motorways a lot - if you are only there for a short stay then they are not worth considering.
We are a fraction under 3 metres and have one and, boy, are they a godsend - https://youtu.be/4Yofy5yUMhk

And make life misery for other road users.

And when the speed limits drop on July 1st - what fun ........
