Laundry

Does anyone know is there are any hotels in town with a laundromat on the premises? Or if there is a laundromat in town.

Here's a link to 7 Laundries in Killarney town. Loads of choice there.

Most decent Irish hotels offer a laundry service, but it is generally a very expensive service.

You would be better off finding a laundry nearby and then doing your own ironing if needs be.

Of the 7 suggested by Bryno, only 4 are in Killarney and only 3 of those in Killarney town. And as mentioned only Glesson's is a laundromat - the others are for dry cleaning only as far as I recall. But Glesson's is convenient for hotels such as the International, Ross, Killarney Park, Killarney Avenue, Towers, Killarney Plaza, Scotts, and such.

Thanks to all of you. Will be 4 of us women traveling and we figured half way through our travels we would need to do some laundry. Never been to Ireland before and thought that maybe there would be hotels with washer and dryers. Thanks again for all of your help.

Would you consider buying some hand washing liquid and rinsing out the lighter stuff in your hotel/b&b?

Rapide, as far as I remember, is the name of a liquid clothing handwash and it doesn't leave a grainy residue on your clothes the way that powder washing stuff does.

Squeeze your clothes in a towel and leave to dry in the bathroom.

Hotel rooms are often so warm it wouldn't take long for them to dry.

do Irish laundromats offer drop-off "fluff and fold" service for busy travelers who don't want to spend time at the laundry?

Yes, Glessons, mentioned above, will take your bag of clothes and wash, dry and fold them for you to pick up later that day.
