Frankly, I've always parked at or near the cathedral. You can't miss it so you can't forget where your car is. It's pretty close to everything in the city centre. It's a nice walk to the centre and a place to visit unto itself, even to attend mass.

Ditto for me on parking near the (wonderfully interesting tour) cathedral. Try Naughton's Pub (Tigh Neachtain) for an excellent good value meal--one of Ireland's very best dining pubs. Their pork belly -just to name one among many fine options-is outstanding.

Artisan which did the food for Neachtains is no longer there, theres a different restaurant above now. It wouldnt be known as a food pub by any means.
