Fun/quirky places that aren't too rowdy

I'll be in Galway in a week or so with a group, but we have some time to explore on our own. I'm in my mid 40s, so my crazy party days are behind me, but I still love to go out and have fun. I'd love some suggestions for some unique places to eat and/or drink while in town.

The Blue Note and the Bierhaus as Rojo suggested. I like Massingham too. All located in Galway's West End.

Lots of P.U.As floating around the town these days. Be careful :)

We are here now. It's a very lively place for sure! Like the street performers. We are at the Dail bar last night. Rustic and the food was good too. There looked to be lots of fun clubs with music. First place that I saw security at most of them.

We absolutely loved Galway! We visited several places there. Garavans, which was very much what I was looking for, They played 80s music on the sound system, the waitress was very friendly and helpful about our whiskey flight and we talked to some nice locals of all ages. I also visited the wine and cheese bar above Sheridan's Cheese Shop. That was amazing! Again, I had some wonderful conversations with locals there as well as top notch food and drink. Our group dinner was at Maxwell's. I had probably the best pork belly I've ever eaten there, and the staff was very nice, especially in dealing with a large group. There was a wine bar down by the water on the West End that we had a quiet cocktail at. I'm in a hurry and can't remember the name right now, but I would highly recommend it. Even the open mic night at our hotel, The Western, was a blast. Galway was definitely my favorite stop on our trip.
