My friend and i are going to dublin in 2 weeks time are staying at the maldron hotel in cardiff lane sr john rogersons quay. Looking at maps cant tell how far from the centre it is and what bus route it is on would be great to know and especially which night bus as looking at all the forums am keen to avoid expensive taxi s.

You can walk to the city centre along the Quays from this hotel in about 15 minutes.

Alternatively there are buses on nearby Pearse Street - no buses run by the hotel itself but it is not far to Pearse Street. Routes 2,3 and 77 are the ones to take. There is also Grand Canal Dock Dart station about 5 minute walk away also.

The night buses(Nitelink) are 5euro to use so there is not much point in using them to get to this hotel as a taxi for 2 people to the hotel would cost less than the price of 2 Nitelink tickets. A taxi for 2 people at night should be about 8euro from the centre of town
