Thrift stores?

I'm going to be in Belfast with part of a tour group that's visiting the Titanic Center one morning. I'm not really excited about that, so I thought I'd stay behind and do some exploring. Are there thrift stores in town that would be worth a visit? That's one of my favorite things to do locally and when I travel.

Does this mean charity shops, selling donated second hand goods. typically found on arterial routes rather than the city centre or discounters such as Poundland, Poundstretcher and B&M, or clearance operators like TK Maxx?

I guess a charity shop is what they're referred to in this area. I also like hitting vintage shops, but usually those have elevated prices for the "cool factor."

Tracey... Will you be in Belfast between a Friday > Sunday? If so, consider a visit to St. Georges Market..

St. George's Market looks great, but Monday morning is going to be my time to explore the city.

I have a friend who frequently finds designer bargains among the charity shops along Botanic Avenue so maybe head that direction. I've also heard ones on Lisburn Road are good for finding higher end clothing where the more well heeled amongst us drop off their castaways.

Leaving Belfast with my group, and I just wanted to thank everyone for the advice. I headed down Botanic this morning and visited the charity shops before meeting back with my group. I got so many great finds! I wouldn't have known where to start without the guidance here. Thanks!
