You are probably aware that there are no mainline rail services from Heathrow, you can either take the Heathrow Express to London Paddington and get a train from there, or alternatively you can get a National Express coach from Heathrow Central to Birmingham, then another coach to Worcester.

If you let us know what time your flight arrives, we can give some more details on best option.

Time - private car service (I never use them so i will let others suggest a firm).

Price - National Express Coach, although they aren't direct and there isn't a good choice of timings.

The compromise - Railair coach from Heathrow to Reading then train to Worcester. You can buy a through ticket for immediate travel from the National Express offices at Heathrow Central Bus Station (for terminals 1 & 3) or Terminal 5 Arrivals Hall, cost around £50.00 - it can be cheaper to book in advance, but this ties you into a particular time and isn't much good if you are delayed.

Hello again, there are indeed three rail companies serving Reading* but only First Great Western goes from Reading to Worcester.

* It used to be called Reading General but the suffix was dropped many years ago.

Might be easier to take the coach to Oxford then train from there.

As for which station to use in Worcester - the answer is whichever one the train stops at.

There are two stations in Worcester called Worcester Foregate Street and Worcester Shrub Hill. The trains from London normally stop at both, Foregate Street is the station in the middle of the city, where as Shrub Hill is on the outskirts, albeit still only a 10 minute walk into the city centre.

Another fairly easy way to get from Heathrow to Worcester is to get the bus (75/76) from the Central Bus station to Slough, walk 100 yards to the rail station and then the train to Worcester

If you are at T5 it's the 77 bus

Outside peak hours, virtually all London Worcester trains call at Slough so it's a minimum change jurney

The bus from Heathrow to Oxford stops half a mile from Oxford railway station. And, with luggage, that can easily feel like a mile.
