Where in London? What day / time? That makes a huge difference to the answer.

Presume you are with Avis? They're the only operator at T5

By public transport would be my first thought. However rcspeirs asks very pertinent questions.

I would add:

What are the ages of the children? Can each person handle his/her own luggage?

1. If money is no object, then arrange for a car service to pick you up at the car hire depot and drive you to your destination.

Here is one company that you can get a quote from.

2. Personally, I would travel by London Underground/tube if it was running at the time I need to go into London.

Renting thru Sixt. Too many bags to take the underground. Will return the van about 10-11 am. Thanks

Then I suggest you book a car service.

Why too many bags for the Underground? They don't impose a limit.

If your destination is still Earl's Court, then unless each person will have two checked bags and a rollaboard just take the Underground.

It's 25 minutes from doors closing at T5 to doors opening at Earl's Court, with no change of train needed and lifts at both stations. You'll board the train at its start, and with five travelling you would be wise to walk the lengh of the platform towards the front of the train to find room for your party and their luggage. There is space for luggage near the double doors; you may want to split the party between doors of the carriage to make it easier when boarding.

You did ask this question in September, perhaps you can't find those answers.
