Can anyone suggest the most economical mode of commuting from Oxenholme railway station to Briscoe lodge in Windermere?
The obvious route would be to take the train to Windermere station, from where Briscoe Lodge is half a mile's walk.
Normally when going from anywhere in the UK to Windermere in the Lake District by train you have to get off at Oxenholme and change train to go to Windermere.
So your train ticket should be bought to go to Windermere not Oxenholme.
It looks like it's about a ten minute walk from Windermere train station with the benefit of it being comfortably downhill. So, as above, your target station is Windermere.
£12 in a taxi - they are just outside the station
Thank you 😊
