Rail tickets to Brighton from Gatwick

We are arriving in Gatwick airport on a Thursday but will be traveling to Brighton where we are staying, we hope to go back up to London a few times for shows etc before we leave again via Gatwick airport. My question is what type of ticket should we buy so we can travel freely from Thur/Tuesday?? Does such a ticket exist?? £s are a consideration. Thank you in advance for your help in this matter.

For travel between Brighton and London: the "super off peak day travelcard" costs £20 and covers the journey into London and all further travel within London (tubes buses etc). You can't use it in the morning rush hour, but after that it's good for any train - doesn't matter which brand is painted on the side. At weekends, an even cheaper version (about £17) is available if you use the Thameslink brand trains.

How many are you?

There is a Day Ticket called the Southern Daysave Off-Peak which may be of use

£39.00 for up to 4 persons, has to be purchased in advance

See www.southernrailway.com/daysave

Thank you for that we could be up to four as we may be accompanied by friends on our trips. That’s super, thanks for the tip
