Long weekend around Lulworth Cove

We are staying in Lulworth Cove for 3 nights over the bank holiday weekend and looking for any suggestions on the best way to spend our time there. We will have a car and besides visiting Lulworth Cove and Durdle door we are interested in doing some coastal walks visiting pretty villages and towns, castles, other nice beaches etc. So far we also have Corfe Castle on the list but not sure about where else to go.

Tyneham (a village evacuated during WW2) is a good option with a pleasant walk to Worbarrow Bay. Check opening times for Tyneham.

Lulworth Castle is worth a visit as its so close.

Dorset is packed with nice villages - some to consider would be Milton Abbas, Cerne Abbas, Sydling St Nicholas, Burton Bradstock, Abbotsbury, anywhere along the Piddle valley.

Certainly Tyneham is a must and a lovely walk down to the bay. One of the nicest truly unspoilt beaches left down south. Also the National trust beaches and heathland at Studland and you can walk up to Old Harry Rocks. Swanage also - a lovely old fashioned seaside town. Maybe Lulworth Castle.

Good advice.

The Square and Compass at Worth Matravers is many people’s idea of THE perfect pub. Don’t miss the chance to have a pasty and some cider there.
