First time visit

Hello. We are thinking of holidaying in Jersey for the first time. We do not know the island at all.Can anyone recommend an area and/ or accomodation to stay with an 11year old in the summer?

Many thanks.

Have a look at The Merton Hotel, it is very family friendly with a fun pool and evening entertainment. It is a good standard with a range of restaurants. It is located just out of the centre of St. Helier, so easy to walk into town and to the bus station from where you can travel all over the Island if you don't have a car. There is parking at the hotel which is a bonus.

I stayed at The Ommaroo Hotel - right opposite a pleasant beach, nice area, 10 minute walk into St Helier. The food was good and the staff friendly. We found it a good base to explore Island.

We've stayed at the Merton Hotel and enjoyed it - the pool is a great bonus. We've also stayed in their self-catering suites, which were comfortable and high quality, but are pricey in the summer.
