I'd welcome feedback on our ideas of a UK trip.
We are in our mid 60's and planning about an 8 week trip to the UK next year from Australia. I was born in Liverpool but have lived in Australia since 1962. We're thinking along the lines of arriving in London and spending a week - 10 days or so there before joining a 22 day guided tour of the UK, seeing the highlights. Then travelling independently to Liverpool for perhaps 7 - 10 days to re-visit places I lived and went to school etc, as well as seeing family. I'd like to re-visit the Isle of Man for a day or so, as well as the Lake district. On the way back to Australia we'd like to stop over in Singapore for a few days to re-adjust our time and have some R & R before returning to work, ready to save for the next holiday.
