I was just trying to find out if anyone has had this issue with Booking.com....
I booked a place through them for a bank holiday weekend stay in Brighton but the provider cancelled 8 days before the trip date. Booking.com do not allow your money to transfer to another booking so I was left with no alternative but to book and pay again through Air b and b this time (who were great)
Booking.com then tell me by email that my refund (£478) will be back in my account in the super fast time of 7-12 days!! After that time elapsed and still no money I phoned them... Actually it's 7-12 working days! Now that time elapsed 4 days ago and still no refund! (18 days after refund apparently actioned!).. I'm now really angry as I need the money but literally no one there cares!!
So, has anyone else experienced this poor customer service? I'm getting to the point where I think they are just going to keep the money! it's so frustrating!
Anyone got any advice? Oh... and please be aware next time you are paying your money over to them that if something happens with your accommodation provider and the booking cancels you will be expected to pay again for another booking and that you may have to wait a ridiculous amount of time to receive a refund. .
