Groceries and fire wood?

Hi everyone, we are visiting next week from the US and have done a bit of reading about bringing food and have decided to go shopping when we arrive.

Also - Our condo rental owner also says to bring your own firewood but i'm expecting that bringing firewood across the border may not be allowed?

Can anyone recommend a good grocery store on the way to pedestrian village, and also if firewood can be purchased at local grocery stores?

Thank you

There are good supermarkets in downtown Mont Tremblant (formerly known and still widely called St. Jovite). Driving north from Montreal, your best bet is the IGA on Route 117, the highway that bypasses downtown. They will have everything that you need, including fire logs. In downtown, the Metro supermarket is very good as well. Firewood and fire logs (Duraflame and other brands) are very widely available just about everywhere.

The pedestrian village is 10-15 minutes' drive from downtown.
