Staying in Panorama driving to Golden

Thanks in advance for your advice. We are staying in Panorama for 1 night and then driving on to Golden, on our way to Yoho. Asking for what your suggestions would be to do/stop at on our way to Golden or things to do in Golden (we have the whole day to get their, nothing planned at this time, will be spending another day at Yoho.) I have read some on Kootenay National Park, Kayak in Golden, Gondola in Golden for dinner, Traveling as a couple, no kids, we like adventure. Will be traveling Sept. 20ish. If stopping at Kootenay what would be your suggestions? We do like to hike.

Stop for a soak in the hot pools in Radium. Not a lot to see between Radium and Golden it is just 1hr drive. The gondola ride is a nice ride with amazing views at the top. The Island restaurant in Golden is really good and hopefully they still have their crabapple crime brûlée delicious.

White water rafting is very popular in Golden but not sure if it will be operating at that time of the year.

Panorama is only about an hour to an hour and a half from Golden. If you day is to take in Yoho National Park, I would make that the focus of your day. If you are going to enjoy Golden there is much to do in the area such has a float trip or a white water rafting trip down the Kicking Horse River. Both are available. The Eagle's Eye Restaurant is worth a visit. Kicking Horse Mountain Resort also has a resident Grizzly Bear there...most really enjoy visiting it. Also near town is a Wolf sanctuary. As for Yoho, make sure you go to Emerald Lake for sure. The drive is beautiful in Yoho....and you might even consider making it a long day and doing the golden triangle: Panorama to Golden, Golden to Lake Louise, Lake Louise to Banff and back to Radium Hot Springs/Invermere and Panorama.

Maybe it is too late, but I'd stop at Radium Hot Springs and then drive on up to Golden. Enjoy the arts scene in town, walk on the trails and over the wooden bridge before heading up to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. But leave enough time to really enjoy the mountain. The views are amazing!

It's a scenic drive through the Columbia Valley and Wetlands from Radium to Golden. you're likely to see osprey along the way. I would recommend stopping at the Beeland Honey Farm shop and the Spili Bean Cafe in Spillimacheen on the way.

The whitewater rafting season is usually over by the middle of Sept, but there are other adventurous things to do: tandem skydiving with Extreme Yeti, Via Ferrata at Kicking Horse. If you are looking for a once in a lifetime experience then the Walk with the Wolves at the Northern Lights Wolf Wildlife Centre is one for the bucket list.
