What to do if you’re somewhat physically challenged?

I can walk, but was in a serious car accident a few months ago and suffered a broken vertebrae in my back and also a compressed nerve root. I am in a back brace and have to use a cane on bad days. Hiking is not possible, a lot of stairs aren’t either and I’m not up to walking long distances. My poor husband would love to do some more vigorous activities though. Is there anything of interest we could do that won’t kill me but won’t bore him to death? We are both nature lovers and he’s a big history buff if that helps. We will only be there for one day on a cruise stop. Thanks!

Rent a chair and lay at the Orient beach 🏖 while getting served with yummy 😋 frozen cocktails!

On Orient beach? You have not been there in quite some time Alisson.

To Leanne. I also have some mobility problems. May I suggest Loterie Farm? I believe they still have a ramp at the entrance instead of stairs (which for me is easier). Lovely interior location. Hubby can do a guided hike, you can enjoy a cocktail in the treehouse or zip lines if they are rebuilt. Or perhaps a swim in their fancy pool

You can try the Tiki Hut Snorkel Park. Very short boat ride to get to. You can hang out and eat and drink and relax. The hubby can snorkel or snuba.

But it is fun. Have spent a couple of afternoons there. Hope they get up and running.

I’ve never actually spent the day there. I just snorkel off the beach by Divi and check out all the “sunken treasure” on my way around the point to Great Bay Beach. Those thousands of fish under the platform waiting for handouts are a sight to see.

You husband might want to try horseback riding at the Lucky Stables. It might be available through your cruise ship. Nice trail and they usually end the trip by going into the Caribbean Sea on horseback. You could wait for him in the staging area which is under cover from the sun. Once again...I am assuming they are up and running after Irma, but I don’t know for sure.
