Algae Bloom

We cancelled our August 2014 vacation to Pelee Island because of the water warnings and beach closures. Luckily, we were able to reschedule our cottage booking for July 2016 and we had a great time.

We loved the island so much that we are returning this summer (mid July 2017,) but now I'm worried about all the rain that has fallen in the area this spring.

How does this year compare to other years so far? Should we be worried?

We were just there this past weekend and the water was a little high but we were able to walk along the beach and get every where we needed. You could always contact Explore Pelee (they are a tour company there) before your trip. They would have the best advise as they do tours every day.
