Travelling to Richmond VA from Toronto

Hi there,

My husband and 13 month old daughter will be travelling to Richmond VA this weekend. We are looking to do the drive over a 15-16 hour period. Ou daughter could not handle being in her carseat for 10 hours, with stops. Ideally, we plan to leave Thursday night after work, stop after 5 hours or so and then arrive in Richmond the next day by noon. The plan is flexible based on your recommendations. I was wondering where would be a good spot to land for the night before heading to Richmond. Ideally, a place with nice hotel and some restaurants?

Thanks so much!

Angela

Hi Angela;

The focus of this forum is travelling TO Toronto, not travelling FROM Toronto.

For a query such as yours, I would suggest posting on the "Road Trips" forum. That forum is here on TA;

Thank you for the clarification. I read another post on this forum regarding travel from Toronto and thought it would be fine. Will move my inquiry.

It is no big deal to answer your question here if we know the answer. Try and make the border of Pennsylvania and Maryland,
