Hidden Gems?

Hidden Gems?

Hey Everyone,

My anniversary is on Sunday and we decided this year instead of going away for a week, we would do a bunch of different day trips (staycation if you will).

I live in Peterborough, so I am looking for places within reason. So far we are going to Belfountain Conservation Area + Cheltenham Badlands. Dorset Look out + Torrance Barrens. Prince Edward County.

Do you have any suggestions of similar hidden gems?

Thanks!

Just so you know, access to Cheltenham Badlands is closed. You can drive by/stop to look from the road, but you can't walk into the area.

Have you been to the Ranney Gorge Suspension Bridge in Ferris PP, near Campbellford?

Are you gardeners? Check out Spindletree Gardens in Tamworth

Warsaw Caves are very cool and very close to Peterborough. As long as you aren't afraid of confined spaces, of course. Petroglyphs Provincial Park is another nice spot.
