Harrison Hot Spring or Sparking hill & resorts

haven't been to either place, looking for review or suggest regarding which resort to visit for 1-2 nights. We will drive to Kelowna and stay for 3 nights, then going to either Harrison or Sparking.

Besides the Sparking resort, what else worth doing for 2 nights, coming in 2nd week of July. Hows the weather ?

Thanks.

One is charmingly old fashioned and retro, the other is modern, contemporary and flashy. Two totally different environments.

Sparkling Hill Resort is closer to Vernon than Kelowna, so not sure why you are asking about it if you going to stay in Kelowna for 3 nights. The resort is about 45 minutes from Kelowna, 15-20 from Vernon.

Reviews for the Sparklilng Hill Resort can be found in the Hotels tab in the navigation bar across the top. In fact, you could type the name (spelled correctly or TA won't find it) into the left search field up top called "Find:"

What to do? Time to do your homework. Look in the navigation bar across the top for Things to Do. Lots to keep you busy there for an hour or two. As well, using a search engine for Okanagan Tourism will lead you to good information to check out. Here is the Okanagan Tourism website: http://okanaganvisitor.ca/

I would go to the Okanagan in a heartbeat. I'm not a fan of the HHS Resort, there is such a lot to do in the Okanagan.

The last couple of times I have been to Harrison, it was very busy with young families and the pools were full of young kids. I don't think you would encounter that at Sparkling Hill.

Having been to both I must reiterate what has been said above-- they are two completely different resorts. HHS is family oriented with different pools, kids activities, and lots to see and do in the town for the younger crowd. SH is an ADULT oriented resort. Children under 16 are not permitted in the pool, sauna, steam room, or spa. There are limited other activities at the resort except hiking and the superb Predator Ridge golf courses and the nearest town is Vernon, some driving distance away.

So, with the kids or grandkids, HHS is fine but for a weekend with your partner SH is lovely.
