Low Season in Prince Rupert

Hi. Planning to be in town on a Sunday in October and wondered whether anyone has any recommendations for things to do please? First choice was the cannery but that closes 27th September so we are now looking for alternatives. Thanks

The Museum of the North;

drive around to see all the great wall murals

the sunken garden behind the courthouse might still have something but still worth a look.

the Breaker's Pub for chowder and seeing eagles fly by and a walkabout around Cows Bay.

At lunch time the eagles should be at Rotary Waterfront Park

They may not offer tours at the Cannery but still worth the drive out there if you have a good weather day. You may want to email PR Tourism or the Cannery web contact to confirm you can walk around the site and that alone would be good. https://goo.gl/maps/vhgWETrGyH72 https://www.northpacificcannery.ca/

I think they close the museum Sunday and Monday in October. Unfortunately, great place.

Contact them at manager@northpacificcannery.ca. Often they are up for a private off season tour with advance notice! Flightseeing is a great option too.
