Spring flooding

Is the current spring flooding affecting travel in and around Kelowna?

Is there still access to wineries such as Mission Hill and Quail Ridge Wineries?

Thank you.

If Mission Hill floods we will need to build the Ark.(-: there are both way higher then the lake. this shows the elevations https://goo.gl/maps/CAzzNjPZPo72 Okanagan Lake is at 342 m.

You may have a detour if trying to get to the Cove resort on Gellately Bay if the creek gets high but that only happened much later last year.

there is some local flooding in some areas. We drove around for 4 hours between Penticton and Osoyoos yesterday without any detours.

Its good you are watching these things. 'Tis the season, although it is getting started a bit early - heavy snow pack and a sudden heat wave will do that. As noted, while the floods to cause problems locally, they are usually quite restricted to a specific area. Mudslides across main roads are going to be the most disruptive possibility for the next while.

Drive BC is showing a washout near Fintree. This is the best site to check, although I know from personal experience that they don't always get everything updated.

Check the online Okanagan news site for updates:

Lots of minor flooding relating to overflowing creeks but very localized. Mission Hill and Quails are high and dry!
