someone in Cabo can help?

Hi,

Traveling to Cabos on a cruise. Question, cruise will use tenders to get to the shore I guess Marina?

Soo many pictures of it, but none shows the grounds around. Traveling with wheelchair person, can we go around Marina and to the Mall by a wheelchair? Is this accesable? Got all private tours in Acapulco, Guatemala, Costa Rica. Will like to take a break and just walk around. Its will be safe??

Thanks for your advice,

The area of the marina should be OK for a wheel chair though there are usually steps up to the restaurants surrounding the area.

You should be able to find ramps but maybe not right in front of where you want to go. Yes,it's safe.

And, yes, you can get to the shopping mall. Also, the mall has elevators so you will not have a problem.

The boardwalk area around the marina will actually be the best place to get around with a wheelchair. If you venture out onto the streets, they are very uneven with many different surfaces and the the height of the sidewalks change every so often.

You will be fine on the boardwalk area and in the mall as others have said. Cabo is the perfect spot for walking around, shopping and stopping for a fabulous lunch.

Have fun!

Unfortunately, no ADA laws in Mexico. Most of the restaurants close to where the tenders drop you off have a few steps up to their tables. More restaurants on the marina closer to the big Puerto Paraiso mall have ground level tables, no steps involved. Margaritavilla on the marina has an elevator to their 2nd floor dining, and as dm mentioned, the mall has elevators as well.

Nice idea to pick a port with no scheduled activities. You can easily make a day of walking the marina promenade and browsing the shops at the mall.
