I am going to Provo for the first time. I found a beautiful house to rent on chalk Sound but read some reports that it is safer to stay at a resort. Any advise?
Yes watch out for the ninjas hiding in the undergrowth very scary they run off with your drinks!
On a serious note it’s a safe area, just check they have a working alarm so your paranoia doesn’t keep you awake at night
I’ve stayed at a house off Chalk Sound Drive 3 times and have always felt very safe there. It’s a quiet place and our house had an alarm and was monitored by a security company which was reassuring. Plus there is a police station at the corner of Chalk Sound Drive and S Dock road.
Go, enjoy the beautiful home in Chalk Sound. I would if I'd rented it. That is my advice & I have going to the Island since 1974(44 years). Most homes have alarm systems in Chalk Sound & some areas even have security patrol service. Dr. JimEdited: 14 May 2018, 06:00
So excited to hear back from THE Dr. Jim have read in so many forums. Thanks for the advice!
Good advice, thanks!
Very funny😒 but thanks for the reassurance!
Chalk sound is AMAZING: Stay and enjoy. resorts are over rated. In fact I read (on-line) that an “event” regarding safety of tourist occurred at a hotel. Book that chalk sound house and enjoy yourself. Also the police station Is literally at the very beginning of chalk sound drive.
